About the Event
We are creating a new place to meet monthly to keep you up with current findings in diabetes research and to build competence that inspire you to exercise critical thinking skills and improve presentations and explanations to patients.
In the first session Simon and Cynthia will demonstrate how to read, review and evaluate published research papers using Critical Appraisal Tool. This will occur in a practical demonstration where participants will have the opportunity to consider and question the strengths and weaknesses of the research by engaging in lively discussion with peers.
On enrolment you will be provided with a research article to review, at the meeting, you will be taken step by step through the critical analysis tool.
Peer group meetings will be held monthly – the last Tuesday in every month.
Numbers will be limited, if there are more than the allocatedDia numbers, additional events may be scheduled.
First Paper to be Reviewed: People living with diabetes are unaware of their foot risk status or why they are referred to a multidisciplinary foot team.
