About the Job

Feet First Podiatry, located in Christchurch, is on the hunt for a passionate Podiatrist to join our experienced team. We have a well-earned reputation for genuine care, with every patient feeling that their main concern is our priority. We are looking for a podiatrist who loves what they do, pays attention to detail, is confident, reliable, friendly, self-motivated, willing to learn and is in it for the long haul.


New graduates are welcome and encouraged to apply as this position entails all aspects of podiatry and will allow the potential candidate to develop skills in an area of interest. Our Senior Podiatrist will offer you a supportive and relaxed learning environment to help you grow. For more experienced podiatrists, there are opportunities to upskill and share your knowledge.


We will be primarily focused on finding a podiatrist whom we believe is in alignment with our existing valued team.


You will enjoy a varied caseload including surgeries, routine care, ACC /Biomechanical assessments, orthotic prescriptions and much more. Our practitioners work together as a close-knit team with over 30 years experience in the Podiatry profession to support and learn from one another. 


The position:

  • Permanent, full-time (flexibility with hours and days)

  • Delivery of high quality care in all areas of podiatry; general treatments, biomechanics, orthoses, paediatrics, diabetes, footwear etc

  • Based in our newly fitted out clinic in Upper Riccarton, Christchurch

  • Regular 1:1 mentoring (more relevant for recent graduates)

About you:

  • Excellent communicator, professional and friendly approach

  • Proactive attitude and openness to learning

  • A team player that is prepared to go the extra mile for their patients and team members

  • Strong written communication skills (upholding high professional standards for clinical note keeping and letter-writing)

  • Bachelor of Podiatry (current or pending registration with NZ Podiatry Board)

  • National Police Check (following interview stage)

  • Influenza & COVID-19 proof of vaccinations

  • Full Driver's Licence

About the Clinic:

Feet First Podiatry is located in a newly refurbished clinic in Upper Riccarton, Christchurch. We have a strong, established relationship with many GP's, Specialists and Physiotherapists, having been established in the area for over 25 years. The clinic has full admin support and enjoys a strong reputation in the local community.


We are located next to The Shoe Room, a retail shop established over 3 years ago by our lead Podiatrist, Charlotte Russell, to provide both fashion and comfort solutions for our clients.
